Boost pedal for volume boost on solos?

My Mesa - just a "More Loud" button. I love this!

My Marshall VS100R; OD1 for rhythm, OD2 for a little more gain, a little more presence, and a little more loud.

Agreed! simple is best!
My mode four has a solo button with its own solo volume.... Just click and louder!

the JVM is a bit more sophisticated and takes some tweaking to jump your footswitch to the "other volume setting" which you can assign wherever you want. But it's trickier.

The TSL has another channel to boost as well as change gain and eq structure for solos. But you can also jump the effects loop for the "ever so slightest" volume gain as well.

The 6505 and ENGL and little amps I have to put the EQ in the loop.

Thanks for all the replies. My pedalboard is Morley wah>DS-1(soon to be OD-200)>Zoom G1FOUR(mod,delay,rev)>Joyo Roll Boost(volume boost).. This goes into the clean setting on my Katana.

Zoom 70-CDR, I use it in the FX loop as clean volume boost with analog echo and graph eq to reduce some highs and add some mids. And it is also my tuner.

You are just using the Katana as a Powered Speaker it appears.

I'd put the boost after the DS-1, but before the G1. I don't want to boost reverb tails, repeats on delay, or swoosh noise from modulation. That said - if it is working for you it is fine where it is.

Lately I've been using the solo function on my Mark V before that I was using a Coopersound pedals strategy v2 for clean boost up to 30db!

How do you use the Liverpool?

As a preamp/overdrive, I don't typically get my gain from the amp. It depends on the situation. In the cover band my set list is so all over the place I can not just set it and forget it with my gain settings. The Liverpool is for my more 70's Arena rock stuff, Wampler for high gain applications, and the Blue Box is for alt stuff like Jack White or Dan Aurbauch-type tones.

That makes sense. Thanks for explaining :)

I use two Seymour Duncan SFX-1 Pickup Boosters, one as the first thing my guitar plugs into for pickup enhancement and the second one for driving my signal from my pedalboard strong before going into my rack .

My 2112's 6dB boost function is great for soloing or to make those finger slides sound huge like John Sykes got on the White Snake 1987 LP .
GREAT DOAGRAM that you posted .

Boss GE-7 un FX LOOP. add mids, cut Treble and add volume. Or Zoom 70CDR in FX LOOP, it can do EQ + volume boost and echo todo, it Is also my tuner.
