Can i get a decent somewhat dotted 8th note delay from the DD-3? If so, how would you set it?

Absolutely!
A quick search shows that for 120bpm, a dotted eighth is 375ms.
I don't have a DD-3, but here's where I'd start... Set the mix to 50%, the repeats to one, then mess with the delay time until it is a dotted eighth, for your tempo. That's the max, 800ms "setting", then approximate with the delay time, probably a little under noon.
