Boss DS-1 made in Japan/made in Taiwan??

....i found at a local music store a made in Japan Boss DS-1(used) and he was asking 130euros(about 160$)......He also had a boss DS-1 made in taiwan i think, and he was asking 35€(that's about 43$).......Are the made in japan so much better than the taiwan(???) ones???What's the difference?

They are a bit different but I don't think they are that different tonewise. MIJ has become a vintage buzzword though so you will pay for it in some cases.

The one that's made in Taiwan is probably newer too . . . so you're less likely to run into problems with an old switch crapping out on you . . .
