BOSS GT & GX series - latest update removes the polyphonic tuner

Roland got sued by Behringer or something along those lines. I'll stick with 2.03 on my gx-100 for the time being.

I saw that they took it out, but didn't realize it was because of a lawsuit. I just assumed it didn't work well, so they removed it. But...wow. That's too bad. A polyphonic tuner is actually pretty cool.

Actually it works very well for me and I intend to keep it this way.

It's the lawyers pest, not the software.

It is still an update that contains both the crippling of the tuner and other changes in an all-or-nothing package. Good software updates should be modular, usable individually and contain one change each.

That's pretty much never the case for gadget firmware updates.

It is probably rolled into one as part of the lawsuit to get people to uninstall the tuner to get to the other updates.

I'm at the next to most recent one on my GT-1000, sounds like I plan on keeping it that way. They'll need to add something new and cool to get people to update to remove the poly tuner. It works great for a quick check, I usually have the tuner in the split screen mode so I can do a quick check then fix the ones that are out.
