great little pedal if you are in to 'jamming along' karaoke style looping. be prepared to spend more money getting some extra footswitches though. not good if you want a live looper to do more than just play backing tracks though.

well, if money is no object, the Gibson Echoplex Digital Pro is the most full featured looping device ever.
Probably around $1k new. You also might want to wait a month or so for the New updated Boomerang, which will be smaller than the current one and add a ton of new stuff.
For small gigs, I use the Line6 DL4, which works great. It doesn't have all the features of the Boss, but what it does have is intuitiveness. It is very fast and easy to get around, and you can control the volume of the loop with an exp pedal, which is great for fading out loops (as opposed to abrupt endings).
