Yes I think so, just what kind they stuck in there.
New ones only works at 5v, the old ones got all the way to 15.5v...hence so many at 18v that was regulted into 15v for the old BBD's....
I hope that they will use some of the better ones, the BL variations where quite dirty and muffled....and a BBD is not gifted with good bandwidth as it is, but those where really dirty and lo-fi'ish....
Got some others with the Cool chips, much more pleasent and a great deal more useful.

Damn, was hoping they'd do the good chorus next in the Waza line, the DC-2.

Smart move to improve upon an old classic, which never should have been discontinued.

I don't see a DS-1W being done with the DS-1X being available along with the regular DS-1. They have the OD-1X as well otherwise I would say they should do an OD-1W. I'm glad to see they are taking some good old circuits that are loved and giving them a good 21st century treatment yet maintaining their vibe.

An OD-1W sounds appealing. So far, the best new version in my opinion is the OD-3. The OD-1x is digital.

you guys calling for the ph-2w....you can still get ph-2s really cheap second hand. It is a really cool and flexible analog phaser for sure, but very modern (12 stage?) hifi sounding.
Don't you guys really mean the more old school, warmer sounding ph1r?

I'd probably buy a new cs-2 tho. Excellent sweet sounding compressor. Mine is on its last legs and the input jacks are intermittent and have given me grief at a couple of gigs recently.

lol this thread inspired me to fix up my cs2 back to being reliable for gigs. New jacks, new electrolytics and a clickless bypass system.

I'm down for a Waza DC2. I'd also like to see a PH1w in there too.

The other guy in my band has a vintage CE2, he's already got the other Waza Craft stuff but mainly uses the DM2 in his rig.

Yeah, its my impression the X series did not take off in regards to sales. The concept was kind of silly. Lets make a digital modelling version of analog pedal we still make, but that can make different sounds too. And price it for 3x as much.

Iow- they wanted to put out digital distortion boxes, and the od1 and ds1 have name recognition. And when they didnt move, they dropped prices.

I wish they'd do a demo which compares the various modes and how they sound. Boss' demos are too slick and just play a song. We need someone to flip the switch and twiddle the knobs. PGS Andy, save us!!!

Having the vibrato mode from the CE-1 intrigues me. I might spring for this one and retire the CE-2 to the spares drawer.
