i got a nobels odr-1 which seemed to fit the bill a bit better for what i needed - especially with a telecaster. I think the waza bd2 is good tho.
there are many flavours of od pedal which all work. Even the nobels has been replaced with an xotic ac. There will probably be something else on the board in a few months.
im still really digging the DM-2w tho. it is killer.

I'm under the impression that the CE2W is nothing more than a CE2 that mimics a CE1 in CE1 Mode. Both the CE1 and CE2 used different chips.

Now look at the prices for a used CE1. THAT'S what the big deal is.

And because the chip is long-gone, the Jazz Chorus amps dont sound nearly as good as they used to either.

Need to find a used retro-sonic. Wahwah has one, and a clip up on yootoob comparing the retrosonic and his original ce1.

I dont need an exact CE1 , but they do sound quite different in the mids and highs than the ce2 does. CE1 is warmer and handles distortion "better"..thats why I have the mxr micro, instead of a ce2 clone. It sounds a notch closer to a ce1.
