Boss Tera Echo

Sounds like fun for spacy stuff...

Re: Boss Tera Echo

Boss has some really good stuff in their product line these days. I dig my Harmonist and DD-7 Delay.

One thing they do that's really smart is putting stereo in's and out's on their more advanced pedals.
That way we're not stuck using only the last pedal in stereo.

Re: Boss Tera Echo

I can't wait to try all three. I'm glad to see Boss is always trying to up their game rather than simply resting on their classics.

Re: Boss Tera Echo

I might be interested in the Tera Echo (what means tera?)...the announcer is pretty awful with his movie preview voice. I'd rather hear some atmospheric stuff than shred for this pedal though. It looks like it changes the pitch and tail of the notes depending on how hard you pick.
Line6 has a similar sound in its new PODs and Digitech & Eventide have done the 'pitch shifting with reverb and echo' thing for years. Boss is a little late in the game for this, but we will see.
BTW, as a player who uses a guitar with a 13 pin out, neither of those pedals interest me. The distortion sounds tinny and fake, and while the other one offers some more chorus as well as pitch shifting, it isn't as interesting as the pads I am already triggering on my synths.

Re: Boss Tera Echo

I'm glad BOSS is being more innovative but I'd wish they'd bring out some new analog pedals I just don't get along with DSP based drive pedals. Something in the vein of a modded SD-1 or SD-2 would be cool like with a switch for asymmetrical and different clipping diodes much in the way Maxon does new "improved" versions of old Maxon/Ibanez pedals.

The OD-3 is asymmetrical!
