Wow! I just spent a couple more hours playing this baby. What impresses me most of all are the action and string tension, believe it or not. It's not too tight, not too loose, not too high, not too low. On some guitars, I find the strings are actually too easy to bend; there's not enough stiffness, so to speak. This guitar fits me like a glove. The weight and neck profile are great for me, too.
I've never been so impressed with a guitar so quickly.
I repeat: Wow!

One thing I love about my Gem that most people wouldn't is how easy it is to bend, and I think it's more thn just the 24.75" scale, there's something else going on there.
I've been giving you crap, but that's a seriously sweet guitar Keith. Congrats!! I would have taken the Gem as you know, but that's just because I like pretty guitars a lot. More than I should even, maybe.

Okay, here's my first photo of Fenrisúlfr:
He's badass, and his bite's just as bad as his bark. I have yet to remove the protective plastic from the pickguard -- you can see some peeling on the corners and bubbling around the pickguard screws -- but that'll come off this weekend. I'm just treating this like a nice piece of furniture for the first few days.

Remember how I said to go with the SG and if you didn't like it I'd take it off your hands? That statement is even more true for one with P-90s that I've never seen any store in Canada having in-stock. That's a beautiful guitar for sure.
