Bought me a Hamer

After a long search I just bought a Hamer Studio Custom. Man, what an awesome guitar! This quest started with me looking for a Les Paul but after trying these Hamers out I quickly redirected my search. This Hamer rocks! It's got two SD 59's in it. Check it out.

Fabulous and welcome to the club - that is a very tasty looking guitar, does not look like a standard colour what is it?? As one who knows and loves the US Hamer guitars (I have 4 of them - check the link in my signature) I am always telling people to get onto these guitars as they are fantastic guitars for the money. I happen to like the bridge pup on this guitar as it has that lovely bite to it. Enjoy it man!!

Yeah, it's a black flame one. They don't even offer that finish but I guess they'll get a nice piece of top wood in the shop and go with it.

I believe that's the "smoke" color...it's a transparent black. It is a fairly rare color. Hamer USA guitars are simply amazing, I have a Studio in emerald green that I absolutely love.

i wish they had hammers here so i could check them out.. but it eludes me why they dont add a zebra color humbucker in the bridge spot.. in a guitar like that everything has to look perfect

Damn that looks awesome. I was at guitar center yesterday, and I was gassing for a USA Hamer Strat style with duncans they head there. It was a little heavy, makes me thing it was hard ash not swamp ash(could easily see the grain), but the tone was great. Its best part was the price $499. I could probably pick it up for $50-$100 less but damn, Id still rather have my G&L.
