Brand Loyalty

Re: Brand Loyalty

Guitars: Gibson Les Paul
Amps: Mesa Mark/Recto
Effects: Meh.

I don't know if I'd call it "brand loyalty" so much as having narrowed down what I want in terms of sound and feel. I don't care to be particularly diverse in terms of gear, I'm quite happy working within the limitations of a Les Paul and a Mesa amp.

Re: Brand Loyalty

I tried other amps over time, but I will never get another non-marshall amp. They all feel too different, Marshall is all I can play. So i'm loyal.

Re: Brand Loyalty

The only brand I'm truly loyal to are Seymour Duncan and Elixir.

Elixir because they're the only brand of strings that don't die after 2 weeks in my hands,
and I don't really need to explain Duncan, do I? :D

Maybe when I finally pull the trigger on high-end gear I'll start to develop other brand loyalties.
But I'm not sure to be honest, I like to stick to stuff that works and sound good, and that could be PRS or Samick for all I care.
Can't see myself sticking just to Fender or Gibson or Marshall or whatever just because.

Re: Brand Loyalty

When I need audio gear, Fostex and Tascam can be trusted to not sell me junk. Rebranded Fostex gear such as the Denon headphones included.

Yamaha is also a brand where I know that a product is worth it's money, although in Yamaha's case they also make some pieces that are cheaper than I use.
