Brand new JB Jr showing 0 resistance on north coil

Just put in a new Jb Jr and noticed I was getting a low output, tested it and was getting 7.6 ohms, tested each coil and it looks like the north coil is dead as I am getting 0 ohms. Anything I should try before reaching out to customer support? Wouldn’t this suggest a short within the pickup? How does this even happen?

Just to be sure, measure black-to-white, and then red-to-green. An "open" sometimes happens, but a dead short is unusual.

Dang. Then you got a bad one. Is it new? Can you exchange it?

You may have already done this, but examine the bottom real close. See if there isn't a single strand, or something, touching where the black and white are soldered.

if its new and from an authorized dealer, you should be able to swap it no problem
