I was bored and watched an infomercial on Time/Life collection of Soul artists on CD's. Your wah is up there with the best of them in that era! Nice tone and I seem to hear some Paul Gilbert / Joe Satriani in the phrasing somehow, not obvious, but very subtle.

I am useing an old Crybaby ( the basic one). Early 90s is my guess, I remember I played through several to find the one I liked. They all sound different and this one had the best sweep and warmest response.

Thanks for the wah words. Really appreciate the comment. I worked pretty hard at it, I found if I slowed my sweeps with it is made for a more melodic response. Clean funk helped me out a bunch as I stopped just going wah wah wah on the beat. When I first got the pedal I was god awful on it, it was pretty funny. Losing the beat, the whole deal..... I love it now and wish I had gotten one years before.

I don't know any Paul Gilbert but Satch had my ears for a few years. Jimi off of Cry of Love and Trower were big on the actual appraoc to the tune.

I've been away from the site for awhile but it's nice to come back and hear some great recordings like this upon my return!

NIce Kevlar, I had to check your age, we are similar in that department and I can hear the old school influences and love it - I'd be interested in a CD as well - by the way there is a girl that take flute lessons at the music store I work at who is quite an artist - if you are interested I could ask her to rough a couple of ideas for your cd cover if you havn't found anyone ...
