Brawley Guitars???

I was in GC the other day combing through all the stuff. I am in the market for a MIM 60's Strat. I was dead set on one when I saw these nice-looking guitars sitting in an area by themselves. They were "Brawley" guitars. They are kind of a maple top Stratesque guitar. The one that got my attention was an S/S/H trans orange model with a Wilkinson trem. I was not only surprized. I was amazed at the over all quality. The fit an finish were great. The tone was good with the stock pickups too. Does anyone know anyhting about these guitars? I went to their website www.brawleyguitars.com but it says it's temporarily down...

I'm really torn between a 60's Strat in Lake Placid Blue and a Brawley guitar or another H/S/S guitar... I could use some feedback...

I've played them at the guitar center in Columbus a few times. I thought they were really nice, however I thought in a direct comparison to the schecters in the same price range, I would have went with the schecter.

Was the guitar your looking at just short of $400 ?

Yes, it was $369.00 H/S/S in trans orange with a Wilkinson trem. BTW, there's also a trans brown Schecter that's really cool but I want a good tremolo.

Yes, I have heard rumors that he's out of business and is a VP for GC or something like that....
