Bridge pickup complementary to the 78

Hey folks,

I've got two warmoth superstrat guitar projects I'm currently working on.

The first guitar, is going to be a Swamp Ash strat body with a flush mount floyd rose and a roasted maple neck with an ebony fingerboard. I have a Seymour Duncan 78 planned for this guitar and I fully plan to get VH tones out of it, as well as general 80s hard rock tones.

The second guitar is going to be an Alder strat body, with a floating floyd rose, and a roasted maple neck with roasted maple fingerboard. I dont yet have a pickup for this guitar. I'm looking for something that could be complementary to the 78 in the other guitar, but also be a little different in character. Would likely be shooting for 80s hard rock tones, as well, with this guitar.

In case Im using both guitars in a live context, I dont want wildly different levels of amp push or EQing when I switch guitars....

Any recommendations? JB? PA Blues Saraceno? CC?

Would love to hear ideas.

Thanks,
Frank

Perpetual Burn, Blues Saraceno, Screamin' Demon, 59/Custom Hybrid, or the new Lari Basilio maybe? They are all about the same heat, different characters. The JB and the Custom family are notably hotter than '78 Model.

I think the most interesting but complementary one would be the JB...80s tones for days, but in a different way than the 78.

You might also consider the PATB-3. It's both PAF-ish and bright, like the '78 is, yet different enough to give another distinct voice.
Tight, responsive and great with high gain, a really good hard rock pickup.
And it's right in the same ballpark as the '78 in terms of output.
