i'm getting a carvin ct6m as some of you may know, and I know i'm going to have to change the pickups. I play fusion, blues, and hard rock. I already chose to have an Alnico 2 pro in the neck
What should I get for the bridge?
-Mahogany body/neck
-Maple top
-ebony fretboard
-standard TOM for bridge

i like the JBb with my AIIPn ... great blended together as "inners" and "outers" (requires magnet flip) ...

good luck

Re: Bridge pickup in carvin

Anything that sounds great in a Les Paul will probably sound great in your Carvin:

1. 59 B
2. A2Pro B
3. Custom Custom if you want something hotter
4. Custom

Re: Bridge pickup in carvin

I bought a carvin DC127 earlier this year and switched the bridge pickup to custom5 and I love it. my 127 has maple thru alder neck with ebony board and TOM bridge. I like the bottem end of custom5 combined with TOM bridge. it's full, bouncy. Then again, construction and body wood of my 127 are different from yours.
I would say you can't go wrong with custom5 or custom custom.
custom, i don't know. ct6m (aka prs custom22) type gives very agressive top end so custom or jb might be a little too much for my taste.
