Bridge Pickup Recommendation for LP Std

I'm looking for a pickup to replace my the SH-14 Custom in the bridge of my LP Std. I love the pickup, but I'm looking for something that will give me a little more distortion (without sacrificing the cleans). I don't care for the JB as the highs are too much.

The neck pup on my std is a SD Jazz.

Thoughts?

You have the C5, right?

If so, use a ceramic mag in place of the alnico v mag. This should give you the sound you want.

This is the issue I'm having w/ my Hamer....

The Custom wind with a ceramic (SH5) will give ya more growl and "better" distortion, but your cleans will suffer...quite a bit...also alot of dynamics are lost as it gets compressed.

A beefed up C-5/59 (more mids and keep the Alnico V mag) without too much compression would be perfect..for me..and sounds like what you are looking for too.
