Do you think it would be a better choice than the '59? I know the Gibson Angus Young Signature Model uses a '57 Classic in the neck, (Alnico II) and his Signature PU in the bridge. I think the AYoung uses enamel coated wire and Alnico V magnets with high output. So the C5 seems to be a great choice for AC/DC tones. Can I just solder on a cover, (my C5 has exposed coils). Or would it be easier to remove the cover on my PGn in my SG?from what i've read, a C5 in an SG is classic- the C5 is a thicker pickup with lots of bass/low mids and treble, and an SG has got lots of upper mids, so it's a very complementing setup.
