I wonder if it would be worthwhile to wire in a reverse treble bleed? That is, use a really small cap, such as the one used in treble-bleed circuits, and wire it up (perhaps just to the bridge) so that it bleeds the highs to ground? A resistor in series could be used to tune the amount of bleed.
