What is the brightest blue LED on the market right now? I ask because I have a bad habit of leaving my tuner on, and I want to swap in an LED that can be seen from space so that I'm not tempted to forget about it.

I think it's more about the current draw you pull through it than the specific LED, but these water clear LEDs are probably what you're looking for.

Be careful what you wish for. Some are so bright they make you see spots (at least some bright green ones I used before were)

MXR Carbon Copy is really bright. It’s much brighter than the MXR Timmy.

Yeah, gotta be careful how bright you go. The blue and purple hue's can harm your eyes if they are too bright.

Yes, Blue can cut through. I have experienced this, with the Vox Ice 9 and with a few home builds.

It also depends on the current limit resistor in series with the LED. Just changing the LED may or may not give you what you want.
