Brightest Guitar.

Re: Brightest Guitar.

Telecasters are pretty darn bright if you play 'em on the bridge pickup with the tone knob up full!

Re: Brightest Guitar.

Lynch guitars are VERY bright: solid maple body, maple neck, maple fingerboard, and Screamin' Demon in the bridge ... yeeeoooow!! :D :D

Re: Brightest Guitar.

The brightest I played was my Carvin when I had the JB in the bridge slot. All maple neck-thru with an ebony fingerboard, carbon reinforcement rods in the neck, and a full floating Wilkinson VS-100 trem. I duly changed out the JB for a CC. Much better. ;)

How about one with LIGHTS ON IT!

My new Carvin is pretty bright. I'm not sure of the material it's made out of though. I know the fingerboard is ebony, plus the pickups are pretty bright.

Re: Brightest Guitar.

Standard Carvin body woods are maple neck thru, ebony fingerboard, and alder wings. You can specify other wood combos for a price.

Re: Brightest Guitar.

Was that true in 1989? If so, then mine is maple neck-thru, ebony fingerboard, with alder wings :)

I'm almost sure of it. I think that the only thing they changed was the headstock shape.

G&L, Asat Classic bridge pickup. The Classic, isn't twangy it's just plain bright.

Re: Brightest Guitar.

My vote goes to a a James Burton tele with the poplar body (he specified it for some of his early sig models). Poplar tends to have a tad more twang in the bass and top end and Teles will shatter glass if you tune the amp right, so that gets my vote.

Re: Brightest Guitar.

those old retro things that came out of japa,n, all the wacko shapes and switches and knobs... weak pickups, all adds up to a really thin harsh tone. but well cool thru a fuzz pedal and a cranked amp. some great lo-fi tones.
