Brightest sounding type of strings?

As far as I know, there are three main types of string construction:

Nickel plated steel wire (normal)

Pure nickel wire

Stainless steel wire

And on top of this, there are various coatings that can be put on them....

So, out of the three methods, which produces the brightest tone? (1 being the brightest)

Am I right in saying:

1. Stainless steel
2. Pure nickel
3. Nickel plated

But yes, as a general rule, from bright to dark: Steel -> Nickel Plated Steel -> Pure Nickel

But just like pickups, there is MUCH more to consider. Roundwound, half round or flatwound? Round or hex core? Just for starters
