Brobucker selling rules?

Re: Brobucker selling rules?

how much do they cost to buy now? if he's offering it for less than that, what's the problem. Lots of items go up in value in life. man.. if someone wants to pay x amount for it, let them do it.

The thing is he wasn't someone who purchased one from the original run, played it for awhile and eventually decided to sell it off. He bought it about 2 weeks ago from someone here, beating out many others that wanted it and was given a good deal, then turned around almost immediately to try to sell it those people that he beat out on the first sale for more than the original seller was asking.

He can do whatever he wants, but I know if I was selling something on here for what I considered to be a good deal I'd probably pass on selling to him and would rather sell to someone who might actually want it for more than just an opportunity to make money off it. I don't believe in karma, but I don't believe that just because something isn't illegal, against any written forum rules, or profitable, that its moral.

To be honest I don't really see what we're arguing about (what am I doing here?) because anyone who sees this as an easy profit is unlikely to be swayed and anyone who believes in the spirit of an agreement being upheld is also unlikely to change their opinion.

Re: Brobucker selling rules?

This thread is definitely showing some peoples true colors. Some I expected, some I'm surprised.

Re: Brobucker selling rules?

if he sells it for what he paid for it, what then? more people complaining that they got pipped at the post for buying it. i'd just auction it personally, saves all this hassle for sure. This is all on the assumption he's even going to sell it & another assumption he'd sell it for more.. meh

the more it's argued about wont it just become less likely the idea of a discount is ever offered again? if it only causes infighting.

Re: Brobucker selling rules?

i've sold a couple and I never looked to make money on them. I figured i'd just pass them along to someone who really wanted it or wanted to try it. I guess I didn't need the extra $10-$20 i could have got out of them either.

Re: Brobucker selling rules?

You've got to be kidding. All it shows is current market value. People flip things all the time. The only difference is they don't email you to let you know. You are naive beyond words to think otherwise

I'm aware people flip things all the time. The ONLY thing I'm talking about is buying something from a forum member, then reselling it to another for a higher cost.

Let me make it extremely clear:

If you buy a JB from Seymour Duncan Forum Member #1 for $40, then resell it to Seymour Duncan Forum Member #2 for $50, you are taking advantage. #1 was selling his item below market value to give somebody a good deal, and for you to mark it up is pretty crappy. Routinely, Seymour Duncan Forum members sell things to one another intentionally cheaper than elsewhere.

Re: Brobucker selling rules?

Look at it this way if it is bothering you so badly for him to sell the pickup at a profit.

He can make $25 from a bro to get himself through, then he's gonna turn around and pay $35 more profit to the Big Bro (Seymour), to replace it.

Bros helpin bros.

The universe has worked itself out and no Karma will be needed.

Or he'll turn around and buy another used one at the avg. $105-110 price.

Re: Brobucker selling rules?

I don't care if you guys argue all day long, but I'd rather not be called too many more names. If you read my recent posts, you'll see that I've seen your point and am not going to charge more. I understand now.

Back to whatever you're arguing about. :)

Re: Brobucker selling rules?

So this one is finally resolved. Funny how the "BROBUCKER" is once again the centerpiece for controversy and ironically it was named that for the forum brethren coming together in harmony. Hope it can rest in peace once and for all.

Re: Brobucker selling rules?

What about an A8 bro??:onder:

When it comes to having uber knowledge about what pup does what in what wood with what neck, I'm kinda clueless. I know I like my APII's over pretty much all the others I've tried. Never had the chance on an A8 though.

Re: Brobucker selling rules?

Right or wrong, you are being rediculous...

You do alot of buying and selling, yet you are prepared to piss off '90%' of the people here, quite possibly to a point of them not dealing with you, over a few bucks? Surely it's more likely to sting you in the long run.

You argue on increasing the price... then state you buy all your pickups used... then state when you have money you will buy another one....? Is $25 really that important to you right now? When you do get round to buying one back at prices you inflated you could well be out of pocket, as opposed to buying one down the line at the same $105 price if you'd never opened your mouth.

I make no comment on if its right or wrong to sell it, i'm just saying this thread alone could cost you money in the long run, some of people who trade here seem to be annoyed at you to a point of not dealing with you in future.

Was it worth it?

Re: Brobucker selling rules?

Want mine? I'm offering it at the low low introductory price of only $200!

Plus shipping, of course.

Re: Brobucker selling rules?

I`ve got a Brobucker the I`m thinking of selling. I bought it brand new from the Custom Shop for $160. Now this might be a dumb question but I can try and sell it for whatever $ I ask without offending anyone? I just haven`t seen many people comment in this thread about selling a Bro that was bought after the group buy for the full Custom Shop price.
