Buck Vader

I made a BuckVader.

Invader coil and all 3 mags. Burstbucker pro screw coil. Dmz screws and brass base plate.

Very warm and full sounding. Filled in the slightly scooped mids of the invader. Toned it down overall a touch too. Rounded out the highs and defined the bottom a lil. More sustain too.
Measured 12k (8k invader/4k bbp)

Might try taking out the helper mags....maybe.

Really lovin this hybrid so far.

In the past ive done a Buck-Tana(burstbucker pro with santana se) and a Buck-Norton(burstbucker pro with air norton).
The bucknorton came out great. Bucktana was muddy and meh so hence its now a BuckVader. Might still make a VadeTana(SanVader?) but we'll what else i have in my tickle trunk.

Re: Buck Vader

Woah. Slow down with the responses please.

Lol

I have now also just made a Nort Vader(Air Norton/Invader) and wow...what a pickup. Great lows without mushiness, clear high end without being brittle, warm, good midrange, 12k with a very strong mystery magnet, 1" Dmz screw poles. Gonna try it in my Charvel So Cal(currently a Custom Custom).

Next hybrid... I just bought a pair of Ibanez vk1/vk2 cap pickups and.....i dunno yet.

Ideas anyone?

My experience with that change is it tightens up the lows a lil bit, tiny bit more articulation, clearer chording. Very subtle change but its there.
