You are asking a perfectly valid (and common) question.
These queries tend to get multiple and different answers, based mostly on what speaker a player owns.
You could end up with a giant list...and many of them may not be to your taste.
Just keep that in mind.
With THAT said.....the Eminence Texas Heat and Cannabis Rex are pretty Popular in a lot of Fender Amps.

The Eminence Swamp Thang makes any Fender amp come alive with volume, tight bass, and clear highs. I'm sure it will allow a Blues Jr. to be cranked without breaking up in an unpleasant way.
And BillM mods are worthwhile, if you can handle a soldering iron. He's done a lot to help sell Fenders, since he's corrected a lot of issues that inexpensive amps suffer from.
The BillM tone knob made my Fender Excelsior into a much better amp. The stock tone switch was a design flaw.

Mods to a Blues Jr are necessary, IMHO. Mainly because there's crossover distortion in the poweramp, due to the cold factory bias. I was going to mod mine, but already have too many irons in the fire and sold it recently.

fwiw, i did the billm mods, then reverted it back to stock.
However, a speaker swap will make a big difference.
Cannabis rex is great in lower wattage fenders because it is very efficient (ie loud - so you get maximum bang per watt), and will make the most of the low end that amp has to offer.
