Bugera 1960

Re: Bugera 1960

i have read that they blow up quick.

violently? lol I am planning to bring it to a tech and getting them to service and try and make sure that won't happen asap lol but other then that anything else wrong? im looking more for people who think it sounds bad...

Re: Bugera 1960

Whilst im not super edge-uh-muh-kaytid on all that is marshall, i have played through quite a few that kicked granny in the bung. Bigger question may or may not be, can you toss 250 for a gamble? idk about resell on bugera, cuz i associate them with beringer, and that's not the path i would like to take.

Re: Bugera 1960

i'd say, chill, till the next episode, and see what else rolls up. You may find some way better sh!t. Keep skrillin', save, aim high, etc. Haste makes waste.

booger-ah = deep troatin' moose nads. You will want finer, in the end. Don't upgrade a circle around yourself. Buy nice, or buy twice. IDFK what amp you even play now, it just occurred to me.

Re: Bugera 1960

Yup, hold out for the 333 (Peavey XXX) or 6260/6262 (Peavey 6505/6505+) if you're looking for the heavy tones.

Re: Bugera 1960

Cry once, buy once. Don't continue on wasting money buying and selling gear, constantly getting close to what you want, only to end up spending more time and money than if you would have just bought the real deal from the beginning. I know I'm not buying or "upgrading" any more guitars or amps unless they are the real deal, pieces of gear I actually want. Until then, I have passable gear that I can live with.

Re: Bugera 1960

The tranny set "looks" impressive. Much better than I expected.
I imagine they got the bugs worked out pretty well these days.
On a side note...how could you pull a chassis...snap 5 pics...and NOT flip it for a few gut-shots.?
good luck

Re: Bugera 1960

One of my friends tour with a 1960 head.

He's got it for over 4 years now, with ZERO problems !

At that price i too would get one - FACT !
