Bugera 1990?

Re: Bugera 1990?

I don't give a crap what they copy anymore I just wish they'd put their whole ass into it.

If you're gonna copy some damn amps, put some quality control on it. Don't make people waste their money.

Re: Bugera 1990?

It seems to me that the only people bashing Bugera are those who do not own them. The vast majority of Bugers owners seem to be happy with their purchase, for the price. No one expects them to be equal to a Marshall, Mesa, XXX or anything else, but I've read the 2nd generation of their amps have addressed a lot of the initial quality issues.

No personal experience, just saying what I've read and heard.

Re: Bugera 1990?

I brought my re-tubed Bugera V22 to a jam last week with an Epi Dot ('59/Jazz); nothing else. Ran it in half power mode (11watts-ish) with a hard hitting drummer, two other guitarists and a bass player. That little Bug sat perfectly in the mix, cut right through when I needed it and was a tone monster!

Look down your nose all you want at my Bug, the amp sounds fantastic. It's the perfect 'grab-n-go', low watt, combo

Re: Bugera 1990?

The dual master volume 2100 Mk III is the best JCM 900 - IMO. Does one thing and does it very well. The SL-X is the circuit with an added preamp tube. The Dual Reverb is an entirely different amp.

Re: Bugera 1990?

Uh, crap. I forgot about that one. Marshall's really losing me with their marking.
I was trying to get to know it for like 10 years, and still I can't :)

Re: Bugera 1990?

Yep, I agree.
This thread should be merged with mine ( Bugera tolexing ) and named 'Bugera 1990'. Don't need two for just one model.

We already have a Bugera thread (Look at what Bugera went and copied this time around) which should be named simply 'Bugera' and that would be it.
And yeah, ctrl-X posts from #197 into here, and delete this post :)

+1.

I love my V22. Great tone and versatility, and very loud for 22 watts.

Re: Bugera 1990?
