Building a Bass Cab, Spirit Bass Content

I was going to build a Cab to match the bass I'm building for jazz band. I was thinking of just doing two 10 inch and one 15 inch speakers. I don't need anything too expensive, and I'm going to need a head to go with the amp. I need enough power to play auditoriums and play over a piano, guitar, drums, and brass section. Probably about 200 - 300 watts I'm thinking.

Anyway, The cab will be easy, I'm gonna make it out of birch plywood, dovetail it or something, and cover it in purple tolex.

So I need.

2 10 in bass speakers
1 15 in bass speaker
Enough purple tolex to cover a decent sized cab
a bass head that will power the speakers.

For Jazz you'll want 4x10 imo. The big cab and number of speaker will give you the lows you need for smooth jazz tone, but you'll also get clarity and attack you need when playing faster jazz runs and stuff. 4x10 would be a great basis and you could still add a 1x15 later
