Can a neck pup be used in the bridge?

I was wondering if a neck humbucker could be put put in the bridge of a guitar? is it the same thing with just lower DC resistance? The d.c of this neck pup is 8.3k

8.3K is within vintage specs for Gibson paf pickups and it's also the approximate DC Resistance of a Duncan 59B. In the 50's and 60's Gibson did not calibrate pickups and used the same pickup for either position. Your 8.3K should sound fine as a bridge pickup...try it and see. Lew
