Can I buy this style of strap lock without having to buy the whole strap lock with the strap part? I have like 2 straps that I like to use. But I have accumulated like 4 sets of the strap portion of the strap locks. Can I buy just the part that goes on the guitar?

Never seen them for sale alone, but maybe someone here has them in a drawer somewhere. Strap locks as a whole aren't so expensive, so if you do buy a whole set, maybe you can make the other part available to someone here who might be looking for them.

Good point. I'm not concerned about the price I just dont want a ton of extra crap laying around.

I get the WD version of Dunlop strap lock buttons

I too only use two or three straps

I've found some inexpensive Generic ones on eBay on a few different occasions (Chrome, Black and Gold), usually from sellers in China. First time I bought some they worked perfectly, second time (from a different seller), they were slightly too big. It's a gamble, but they're only a few bucks and you usually get free shipping.

That's not a Schaller and not a Hennessy. Fenders come with Schaller buttons (at least they used to). Both of those are beveled and this one is clearly not. What brand strap locks is this? Have you contacted the manufacturer? That button almost looks like what comes with the Marvel strap locks from GuitarFetish (Hennessy style).

The Grover buttons also work with Schaller and Fender type locks. They will probably also work with yours, but not sure since I have never had the Marvel ones. The diameter is probably the same, the main difference in all these different brands is the height of the top part of the button. Obviously, taller buttons won't fit in the locking part of some brands.

Actually, I've tried those before. I could never get along with them and they didn't seem very secure to me. I replaced them all with the Schaller/Fender style and I'm much happier.
