Welcome to the forum.

Your guitar should have the necessary cavity to receive a Seymour Duncan Antiquity dogear P90. The potentially troublesome areas will be the covers and the alignment of screws and holes.

The SD pickup is constructed to Imperial measurements (typically, to the nearest 1/32nd of an inch). The Chinese-made guitar and pickup use Metric measurements (millimetres). The various holes may not line up immediately.

The SD pickup will almost certainly not fit under the original metal cover.

thank you for your answer
i don't really care the original metal cover, the Antiquity "dog ear" also have metal cover
but i afraid the pickup can not be installed...
i seen some chinese epiphone also used SD pickups(a Sheraton II with SD hum)
i think the size is not really to much strict maybe? 3.825inch will be fit with 98mm?

Re: Can my Epiphone Casino use Duncan Antiquity P-90 Dog Ear?

A Seymour Duncan pickup will sit neatly on the top of the Epiphone guitar. The fastening screw holes at either end of the replacement pickup may not match up with the holes already drilled into the wood to receive the original pickup.

I have only ever seen the SD Antiquity dogear P90 offered with a black plastic cover. Casinos and ES-330s traditionally have metal dogear covers. This is not to say that you should not use black plastic covers. ES-125s used black.

I would try contacting Duncan and asking if they have metal covers available for their P90's, it's possible that you could order them with them if they have them. If not, there are probably other replacement metal P90 covers around that will fit the Duncan pickup. Also, the higher-end Casinos have U.S. made Gibson P90's in them, the covers for those would probably fit.

Right, the covers probably won't line up with the pole pieces (didn't on my Casino and Duncan P-90's). Other than that, there shouldn't be any issues.

The neck might not fit. It requires a shallow bobbin and cover, or the cavity routed deeper.

I'm just going to throw this out there, but what about a rewind of the original pickups?

Jaime, that is a beautiful Casino. I'm glad the pickup swap worked so well for you.

Enjoy!

it's looking not prefect, but running well
the bridge pickup is too low, i use a rubber ring sit in there, total ugly but sounds better

So, I guess you're liking the Antiquities? Did it make a BIG difference?

I ask because I bought a Casino once, but I took it back because I didn't like the sound of it at home. I might have liked it if I had put different pickups in it.

Allparts sells P90 spacers that fit underneath and raise the pickup.

Yes, I mean the original pickups. I might have to try a Casino again with Antiquities. I just hate the thought of buying a brand new guitar and immediately having to put new pickups on it. Maybe I can find a good used one.

Thanks for the information, it was very helpful.
