Can someone please tell me if this Fender Strat. USA is real?

Ok. I am in Chiang Rai in Thailand right now. I visited a guitarshop and saw two Fender Strat USA there. One of them a Highway model. The big question is off course if they are real or not. They costet 28 000 and 29 000 Bath, which is about 1000$. Maybe this is not cheap for a Strat in the USA, but for a norvegian it surely is.

They both look real nice, has made in USA in their headstock and serialnumbers in the back: Z3081416 snd Z3045674.

1. So what are the chancews that they are real?
2. Should I go for the Highway or the Standard Strat?
3. They also had a lot of different fake guitar there, named Barracuda and Star Sound. Looks real nice and copies PRS, for example. Cheap too. Anyone who knows if they are worth spending some money on?

I don't know. But for $1000 why not just get on Ebay, find a nice used Strat from a seller with great feedback, and have it shipped to Thailand?

Or for that matter, couldn't you find some great Fender Japan Strats over there? Those from the 80's and some from the early 90's can be better than the made in the USA models anyway!

The guitar should be called Highway 1,not Highway, and you can get them cheaper than 1000 in the states, prob for 700. If you smell something fishy id say dont go for it, but if they play nice and you like them why not?

As far as real goes. wi9thout pics we can´t even start to figure that one out. But if you don´t "know your way around" the guitars you´re looking at, I´d be REEEALLY careful when buying one in a coutry well known for counterfeiting rings (Thailand, Indonesia, China....)

And for that price.... I´d pass if I were you. But our German pricers are a bit more sane than Norwegian ones

Strats and Teles are some of the eaiest guitars to counterfeit, becareful. Poat pics if you can.

Id say dont do it... for 1000 bucks.. and with doubts, its not worth it at all.

Hi!

It seems like most of the stuff over here are quite more expensive than in The USA, but still way cheaper than in Norway.

I saw a Vox Brian May 15 W here for about 200$. Anyone who has tried it/ Just want a small amp for practice in my room. They also have Fender Bullet, Champion and another one... Can't remember the name. What would you suggest?

I really don't like the highway 1's., Would rather get a used american standard for the same amount of money.
