Re: Can you mod a single channel amp to have a clean channel?
Okay, I just checked the Laney website. If your 100TI is the same version they currently list, it should have a switchable FX loop just not a
footswitchable one.
Now I've never owned either product, so someone please check my figures, but I think a Boss LS-2 Line Selector pedal might do the trick for you.

required cable runs:
1] guitar -> LS2 "Input"
2] LS2 "Send A" -> GH100TI "Input", front panel (Hi or Lo, up to you)
3] GH100TI "Send", rear panel -> LS2 "Return A"
4] LS2 "Send B" -> LS2 "Return B"
5] LS2 "Output" -> GH100TI "Return", rear panel
With the Boss set to "A <-> B" mode and the Laney's effect loop switch set to "Insert", you should be able to toggle between gtr-> pedal-> distorted preamp-> pedal-> poweramp (A) and gtr-> pedal-> poweramp (B). You might also want an EQ pedal in the B loop, since the amp's bass/mid/treble knobs will only effect the tone of the A loop.
Skipping cable run #4 (Send B to Return B) and setting the pedal to "A <-> Bypass" would also work, but then you wouldn't be able to use the B loop level knob on the LS2 to set the volume of your 'clean' channel.
Like I said, never tried this myself, so for all I know there would be all kinds of horrible feedback or hiss, but it
seems like this is the sort of application the LS2 was designed for.
