Hi. i just purchased the rythm guitarist favorite pick up set (sh1/sh14) , it sounds really good, now i was wondering what kind of amp does this band sounds ?
https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=wOTjqi5ZjGU they're called the GazettE.

i was wondering which amp should i buy to sound like these guys ? I mean i am aware that they are using effects and someone mix their stuff in studio like every band but, if we forget that, can someone please tell me which amp would help me to get this clean sound and these distorted one ?

here's the live version http:// https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=zkgZgQqPwOs

thanks for your help

Sounds tighter than a Recto, but in that same ballpark. Maybe some flavor of Bogner, with all sorts of audio stuff done too it.

Tighter than a recto ? i heard that the mark v was tighter..
I know that the clean sound intro made by the guitarist (basically G-D--G notes with G played at the A string and the D played at the D string) used some Bogner Ecstasy sometimes. He also got Diezel vh4 and some Bogner stuff.

in filth in the beauty we can see that the rythm guitarist with sh1/sh14 kit use a mesa boogie amp and the lead use a bogner one (the ecstasy i guess)

thanks guys for your help.

i just hope that they didnt changed their amp head by years passing lol

The Bogner is an Uberschall, but as has been said, most modern high gain amps will get you in that ballpark, cabs and speakers are important too, it looks like the Boogie guy is using a VHT cab, you can probably research and see what speakers are in those.

Yes thanks everyone the Seymour Duncan Community is so friendly that's crazy, one of the best community of internet.
But how do you know that the Bogner is a Uberschall ?

By the way i just buy'd a Rockett Archer Overdrive, to me it just sounded similar to GazettE tone tho..

for the VHT Cab it is loaded with 12" Celestion Vintage 30 16-ohm speakers.

Some will know from the face, I'm guessing from the tone. Not many guys have one but it makes a very specific tone. The first one I heard was when my old band opened for Cattle Decapitation. They had one and it was the first time I was ever "out toned" at a show. They are a little quicker in response with a hair less time until full note bloom. A little more grind and less fuzz than a Boogie too. The Bogner cab for the Uberschall isn't loaded all with Vintage 30's they have another speaker type in there as well and I think they are baffled differently to use the duel tone in the cab better.

I see. Well i though the Bogner guitarist (called Aoi) used some Bogner Ecstasy 'cause that's what i saw on Equipboard there
=> http://equipboard.com/pros/aoi
but it seems that you know what you are talking about about the uberschall so i believe you.

Re: Can you recognize this tone ? These guys tone

They'll be close in tone with either one of those heads when you lay the gain stages to it. Go listen to some of the Ecstasy Red pedal reviews. You may be able to pedal something else close to that tone if we're wrong about exactly which head it is. The Bogner is pricey but probably worth it if you're serious about tone. A used Recto will get you pretty darn close at a way lower price point.

Re: Can you recognize this tone ? These guys tone

I listened some Ecstasy Red pedal Overdrive and it sounds really similar to Aoi kind of tone to me. Thanks for your suggestion Thundermtn

What about buying a Kemper for use both the dual rectifier and the bogner profile without spending twice the price of the kemper and being able to use some other amp ? (like the legendy diezel vh4..)
i was also thinking about a single Rectifier, but the mesa guy (Uruha) does use a dual rectifier and i was asking myself if the single rectifier and the dual was very different or not..

I feel confused

The rectos will be real similar to each, I'm pretty sure the dual comes with a lower watts switch to not be as over the top loud. Loud makes the tone though and 50 watts will hold up to a real drummer, but being able to go more is better as far as I'm concerned.

I'll just say I'm old school and prefer real amps with tubes to a computer.

Re: Can you recognize this tone ? These guys tone

Yes, the Kemper should be able to get you close to that tone and many others.

FWIW, I said Uberschall based on the video and the faceplate on the amp, but apparently the Ecstasy can come with the same face aluminum faceplate, I thought only the Uberschall did. Sorry if I misspoke, I'll default to the Bogner experts here on tones.

Re: Can you recognize this tone ? These guys tone

well i was like " the real amp are better than the Kemper stuff " then i heard some very convincing blind test Real dual rectifier vs Kemper profile of the dual recto
i know i totally trust the Kemper to be really really close of the original amp.

what about the Bugera Trirec Infinium ? i was wondering if i can get a GazettE tone with it

F*ck look at this this is totally insane, astonashingly spectacular man

It looks like a 90's white chassis XTC like mine. They can be dialed in for a Marshall tone, but with the Structure switch on, it gets a tighter modern sound like an Uberschall or Recto. That's how his is set.

Truthfully, the Bogner Red and Uber pedals are so good, you can run them into any clean tube amp and get nearly the same tone. If you can afford it, find a used Uberschall and you'll get a tone that sounds like their blend of Recto and XTC.
I like how you can hear the two amps separately....2:15 is the Recto, and the XTC comes in at 2:18.
