yes you can. In a 4-conductor, the red and white are used for coil splitting, if you dont coil split it you end up not using them. You can order all of the SD humbuckers with 4 conductor wiring if you would like.
is there any way to make the shield a single wire, or how do oyu guys solder the shield, sine when i cut it, just a portion of itis soldered to the ground, how do i soldered it in order to be good
thanks guys, i soldered the shield, but just part of it, maybe thats the cause of my problem, my problem is, the output of the guitsr is lower than any other, what do you guys think may be the causes for that?, thanks
Youre going to have to really stare at your wiring job until you see whats in the wrong place. I sure you have a bad connection or ground in there somewhere. It can be frustrating ,I know, but keep digging around and eventually it'll come to you. Try lightly wiggling your connections and see if something cuts in or out,it might get you in the area.
in the wiring diagram provided in the sd page, appear some capacitors, i didnt install them on the guitar since a guy in this forum told me that the basic wires i had on the guitar were ok (i had duncan designed pickubs before), can the capacitors be the problem?
