Yay! My new Carvin DC200 plays like a wet dream, and looks the part too, so I decided to take some pictures.

Holy **** is that a lot of knobs and switches. What does each mini toggle do? I'm guessing coil splits for each, and phase?

Re: Carvin Pict0rs! (56K warning!)

You're right about the switches. Coil taps and a phase switch. I really like the clean sound when they're out of phase and I don't know why. It just sounds cool and old (old? wtf?). The knobs are volume, tone, bass and treble boost.

Beautiful guitar ank. Thats a gorgeous blue. Even with all those switches, it still has a clean look to it. ;)

hey ankalar--

How did you order that type of head stock? Carvin always sends me their catalogs in the mail and I have never seen that type of headstock in the catalogs but like yours i have seen pthers people that have a pointy head stock. i love the look but i am totally confussed.

why type of body wood is it? alder mahagony?

it looks awsome!

:)

It's from 1989, that's the type of headstock they had back then I guess.

I've been told it is a maple neck with alder wings, and (as you can tell by the pics) an ebony fretboard.
