Was expecting quirky valco/Supro tone/trem and mission was accomplished somewhat. The choppy trem is either your thing or not. The valco preamp boost was the main reason I wanted to try it. It was only okay. It didn't deliver the goods I was hoping for. I will likely break down and try the actual Supro drive pedal they just released. Cheaper than a real Supro and that's not a tone I need on a daily basis.
I was super impressed with the CB Topanga and was hoping the same with the Valcoder but not in the same league of excellence for my ears. Your's may vary.
I was looking at the SD trem pedal and see that you can select the wave form so if you want that Supro trem sound, it appears you can dial it in on the Shape shifter.
