Hey, but Excalibur is a "'64 Fender Strah-tacaster in classic white with triple single-coil pickups and a wah-my bah."
I typed it out the way I heard it in my head but it came out making Tia Carrere sound like a Bostonian. My bad. Fun fact: the real one's a MIJ neck on a Squier body and the shop is Cassell's Music in San Fernando. "No Stairway! Denied!"
Re: Category #1 SUBMISSIONS: Best Fender Stratocaster
Lady Bleu, exceptionally lively and absolutely sweetest sounding of the twenty or so Strats I've owned over the years. She's dated October '63. Refinished and refretted sometime during the 1970s, I bought her in '82 for $950. Friends said I was crazy. Never been sorry- it was obvious from the very first note that she was special. Plenty of old guitars have mojo; Lady Bleu has magic.
And I still can't figure out how to post cell phone pics so they don't show up sideways...
Re: Category #1 SUBMISSIONS: Best Fender Stratocaster
I'm going to follow the lead set by The Guitar...........
I have one of these in a s/s/hum pickup configuration as well, which is the more common setup. The single humbucker and the Tele pickgaurd setups don't get seen too often.
