All in aussie dollars, about 75% of US dollars.
70's Jap Marauder copy. Refinished in stain and new Schaller tuners - $65 = $49 US
Aria neck thru copy of a Heritage (headstock) copy of a LP. Added Schaller H/W and pickups - $240 = $180 US
Vintage brand neck thru Junior with Dimarzio Super Distortion soapbar in deal - $150 = $112 US
Cort Matt Guitar Murphy. AP-2's added later - $300 with case = $225 US
All killer guitars on every level

Considering that, IIRC, the CE series was the cheapest PRS guitar made in America at the time, I figured it still fell in the "mid-level" category. It's a far cry from a Custom 24 ten top (usually sell used for 2k) and the average CE24 (I've seen them from 800 to 1200 used). And I consider Craigslist like a pawn shop, though I'll understand if you don't.

There was a wonderfull period at that particular shop where they had the dumbest staff.
I scored a LH Carvin DC-127 for $85 and Fender red knob twin for $450.
Those days are gone and they're trying to flog og gear at near retail prices.

I'm calling this thing "Urst" (cause that's what someone stenciled on the equally home-made case) It's a ... homemade guitar, some kind of acoustic neck mated to a multi-piece Strat-copy body. The cool thing (besides that it stays in tune and sounds GOOD) is when I took it apart to see what was in it, decoding the pot codes says it's August of 1959 stuff. All the parts look equally "patinaed" so I don't see why it isn't all the same
Somebody must have had an SG or LP Special that they broke the neck off of (the switch is a right-angle, so not an LP anyway) and took all the electronics, plus the stop-tail and 3-onna-plate tuners and built this out of the wreckage. I (and my daughter) love playing it, so even if it was a week old, it's still well worth the $100 I spent on it.

I bought this Gothic Edition Epi Explorer new from musicians friend...many many years ago: it was marked as a blem.
Took me quite a while to find the tiny dinger in the side of the fretboard at fret 22....
paid exactly $299 for it.
It is hands down the best guitar ever. Takes 9's, 10's, 11's thick as **** strings .... intonates perfectly, plays like butter... sounds amazing: its a solid guitar. I moved the toggle to where it belongs and covered the hole with a pick.
I've had over a dozen pickups wired into this thing over the years.... It HAS to have been made on a Wednesday. I love this beast, its like my first love.
As pictured it had invaders in it.... but now it's rocking a detonator set. I have worn this thing out!
Its been spit on, bled on, sweat on, Im not much of a puker but.... just sayin. Never let me down in any way.
In my opinion, It plays as good or better than any guitar under a grand. . . bar none.

There's something about that guitar in those pics .... it's as if you could insert it into any setting, and it somehow changes the entire picture. It just seems to have this old-timey, low-key aura about it that influences it's surroundings.
And on a different note .... Stinky, my 1974 Telecaster Custom, cost AU$150.
