So i'm trying to fit a hot rails in the neck of my Charvel 375.
It is routed HSS however, the pickup won't fit due to the wire sticking out the center bottom of it - otherwise the actual pickup itself goes into the pickup route.
I've tried using a dremel to carefully route out a channel for the wire to sit whilst it's fitted. However, it's fitting the pickup that is the issue.
The pickup needs to go in straight but the petruding wire doesn't allow for this, even trying to fit it at an angle with the wire in the channel i routed doesn't work.
Anyone got any tips on how i can fit this pickup? Once it's in I can carry on with my project of swapping out the pickups/electronics in this guitar/
