Celestion Creamback 75 - 4x12 cab

I have the Marshall 1960AX English greenback 4x12" and a custom Marshall 1960AHWV with the Marshall/Celestion English Vintage speakers. Both at 16 ohm mono.

I like them both and apparently the creamback 75 is the love child of both speakers. So I thought, screw my back, I want to hear this speaker in its full glory. BTW, is this love child Chinese-born? Just wondering.

I plan on getting a cheap 1960 and swapping the speakers and upgrading the wire gauge. Or do the custom cab makers do it cheaper?

Re: Celestion Creamback 75 - 4x12 cab

The H75 is it's own entity. Its not some sort of v30 hybrid. Its a high power version of an original H30 using more modern materials to handle the increased wattage. It sounds completely different than V30 or M series speaker. It has much bigger lows and clearer midrange than either M series or V30. The H75 is a bit darker and less dynamic than it's H30 counterparts until you get the volume up to ear bleeding levels. I would recommend the Heritage H30s in either lead or bass cone versions for a 4x12 unless you play stadiums.

The V30 is Celestion' attempt to clone an Alnico speaker using a ceramic magnet.

Creamback, as mentioned are UK made.
