Celtic Amps??

Re: Celtic Amps??

I've heard that they sound good.

The guy that runs the company is a little weird though. :D

Re: Celtic Amps??

ArtieToo is pullin' your leg here ...the owner is well known in this forum. His name is Scott_F and his amps are reported to be excellent...hand made...not extra bells and whistles, just pure TONE.

You can ask Scott_F all about his amps. as he will likely see your thread and post.....if for no other reason than to express his "appreciation" to ArtieToo

If you do a search you will find lots of threads and pics of the Celtic amps.

Re: Celtic Amps??

I love JTM45 tone ..... once I decide that its time for JTM45 tone in my pallet I will never look at the re-issues or spend a crap-load of cash on the originals, I will get an Edana, listened to clips - LOVED IT. End of story.

Re: Celtic Amps??

Friggin" TONE HEAVEN" Scott's amps are as good as they get without the armed robbery prices. I have the Aislinn and my son has the Edana. If Scott makes the kind of amp you desire, you won't find anything better. Does this mean there are'nt other good amp makers, No, but Scott is about as good as anybody I know of.

Re: Celtic Amps??

I'm working on a champ/princeton style 1x6V6 amp. Got all the parts here, just no time to finish her up. Sweet retro looking two-tone cab too.

Re: Celtic Amps??

The guy's a wanker.

Yeah he is. I could say alot more about him but, it would be nice. LOL!

Despite the dude being a few sandwiches short of a picknic basket, he makes good amps.

He's not the brightest star in the shed.

Nor the sharpest tool in the sky.

Re: Celtic Amps??

haha, I love the last line in the Franklin desc:

"Give this amp 30 minutes of your life and you will plan to own it, but truth be told, it will own you"

Re: Celtic Amps??

amazing amps. ive never owned one myself, but my friend "B Bent" here on the forum had "the aislinn" for a while i believe. i remember playing on it and it sounded immaculate. i wanted that amp so bad. now im stuck with my fender blues-deluxe reissue. :banghead:

Re: Celtic Amps??

You can hear a Celtic amp this Friday night in Boston's North End. I'm playing a show that night, and I'll be playing through my Celtic Caitlin.

Yeah, it's gorgeous.
