Ceria Tone anyone -?-

Re: Ceria Tone anyone -?-

Nik has nice work, good products. But you will need to purchase a case/cabinet.

Re: Ceria Tone anyone -?-

jeeze. Thats peanuts for a JCM800 clone. Looks like he uses good quality components as well. I might have to bookmark that page ;).

Re: Ceria Tone anyone -?-

i just finished building an 18 watt marshall with a fat clean channel and a jcm800 style MV TMB channel - will be firing it up soon
i got the board and most of the parts from Nik
he was an absolute pleasure to deal with - fast emails, and very attentive

Re: Ceria Tone anyone -?-

my amp tech had a ceriatone bluesbreaker pass over his bench for a once-over, and his opinion was that the accuracy and build was excellent. I'm looking at getting one or two of his kits in the near future.

Re: Ceria Tone anyone -?-

I have bought some boards and chassis' from Nik. FIrst class operation. I'm proably going to build a JCM800 using his layout, board and chassis in the next few months. I've got this cherry hardwood small box head sitting here empty at the moment.

Shipping can be a killer from Malaysia. I try to place as large an order as I can to eliminate multiple shipping charges.

Re: Ceria Tone anyone -?-

That Cherry hardwood box may just be the thing for that other project.

Scott, I can't find any pics of his 2204 layout on his site? I wonder if it's based on a traditional layout like a Metro board or a streamlined Hoffman style? I wish he offered a 2204 last year. Would have saved me some grief having a Chassis custom made as well as my home made Faceplate.:13:

yeah the jcm 800 is relatively new so he hasnt got any pics up yet

Re: Ceria Tone anyone -?-

I was looking at his Dumble clone kits the other day. Very tempting, I just may have to get one and the price was very reasonable... Especially compared to the real thing :laugh2:

Re: Ceria Tone anyone -?-

hmm, they are building their own trannies.
gonna buy an 5e3 kit from them, ... but the OT is a important thing for
the authentic tweed deluxe sound. i'm unsure if i should take the kit with
or without trannies. the trannies also cause most of the shipping cost.
another question is, if the ot which TAD sells in germany would be a better
choice. *help*

Re: Ceria Tone anyone -?-

Wow, that's really cool. I'm confused though, I looked at pictures of the 18W combo (after clicking the 'Complete' link). It doesn't look like a combo to me? Are you meant to do something with that thing? Like put it in a box?
