Is it possible to cut a ceramic magnet lengthwise, e.g., with a hacksaw or some other tool?

Magnetism is affected by physical trauma, so I'd try it out on a few cheapo ceramics first.

Yes, but would a hacksaw work on it? It is mostly heat that hurts magnetism.

A hacksaw would cut it but, a ceramic magnet is VERY brittle!! Be careful.

A wire/cable type stonecutter might be best.
