Changing humbucker covers

This is my first post and I bet this question has been answered many times before but I wasn't around to read them. Can anyone tell me if I can change the covers on a Pearly Gates bucker? Obviously I don't want to screw up the pup but I want to change a zebra to white. Any help?

Thanks

If you have the other PG bobbin, yes you can....You need to unbolt the bobbin and resolder in the wires...Delicate but it can be done...

Re: Changing humbucker covers

The bobbin is what you are actually referring to. The pup cover is the gold or nickel plate that goes over the pup and is soldered to the baseplate. Like John said the bobbins can be changed from pup to another. With a Pearly Gates you'll have to makes sure the coils you are replacing are the same coil. By this I mean scew coil or slug coil. This is b/c the PG has different windings for each coil.
