Changing humbuckers but not sure which one to choose...

Hi peeps...I'm changing humbuckers...I'm contemplating between the SH-4, SH-6 and the SH-8. I mostly play Green Day stuff...so which one should I choose?

SH-4 or Phat Cat, depending on the sounds you're going for.

What kind of guitar and equipment do you have so we can be sure the pickups with fit with your gear?

For a general idea, mahogony + phat cat = newer Green day and sh-4 + strat = older stuff, pre warning album.

As Benjy said, either the SH-4 JB, or Phat Cats. That's because, as far as I know, Green Day has had different sounds throughout the years. Earlier on, they had humbucker tones, and I think he might have used the JB alot (I'm not expert on them). But I do know that as of late (recent years), Billie Joe Armstrong has been favoring P-90s heavily, so the Phat Cat would make sense. I think his P90 sounds are fantastic.

P-90s are single coils?

Yup, their single coils on steriods, they are just like the typical fender single coils with the power of humbuckers, but they still hum, have more bite, and have a less warmer sound compared to humbuckers. If you like the sound of single coils give p-90s a try if your looking more for a humbucker type of tone.
