Changing magnets in a Pickup

I have a Duncan Custom Custom that I want to convert to a regular custom with a ceramic magnet. Where do I find a ceramic magnet that is the correct size for a Custom? Are there different magnet sizes and strangths -- I've read that the magnet in a Distortion is somehow different than the one in the Custom? Is a Custom Custom with a ceramic magnet the EXACT same pickup as a Custom? I want to get the right one and don't know where to start.

Yes... the magnet in the Distortion is bigger than the one in the Custom.

Yes... all versions of the Custom use the same coils...

I have a Custom's magnet I will trade you for the Custom Custom's magnet!

i dont want to talk you out of the deal with BachToRock, but a Alnico 8 is the best option for a Custom! Read the thread of Zhang, Fab. Regnault and others!

Pete have you tried the Alnico 8 in any of your hybrids? Just thought your curiosity would have given way to try Alnico 8 by now.

Not to hijack the thread but I might be doing the exact same thing, just out of curiousity, and have a ceramic magnet from an Ibanez pickup, is it possible that the ceramic won't fit if it's too big?

Where would I be able to get some A2 magnets that would fit in a SD Vintage P90?
