Probably more a question for the UK guys.

Are these Rob Chapman guitars making any waves in England ?

Any thoughts on these ?

Seem like cool guitars...

Judging from the thumbnail, it's quite an old video, so here is the newest upload, the production model being shipped now...

I don't know about your hearing/speaker setup, but the guitar in the first vid had a whole heap of cut......as the Cap'n said, its a screamer.

Could be because of the stock Ceramic pick ups ?

Acording to one of Rob Chapper's vid's, it is indeed Ceramic units.

Really? have a link for it?

If I only knew what gauge wire he was using..

The wiring is super neat. the cavities are shielded and the wires are tied in a bow with a zip-tie. Frets are suuuuper smooth and it really does feel like glass ( cap'n Lee described it this way)

There are a few finish mistakes; some red paint on the neck, veneer mistakes. But hey, nothing is perfect.

If I would change anything about this guitar it would be the tuners and the satin cut off. Mini grovers are cool, but I'd prefer the full sized ones so I could swap them for locking tuners. I understand why they chose minis, though. I feel like I have more control over my tuning with mini tuners and they allow more finger room to prevent the player from accidentally bumping into another tuner. But since I already have small hands, I don't have a problem avoiding the other pegs.

the satin finish is super smooth, but it cuts back to gloss about an inch before the heel meets the body. Not a huge deal, just a strange thing to get used to.

ah yes, but that's the old ML-2. The new ML-2 has 'guitarnivore' humbuckers. I have no idea if they're the same at all

Hmm... just got "waves from the UK" about this very guitar in my status updates on a social network... You wouldn't happen to be on the mostly-Russian Vk.com , or know a bloke named Victor (or Viktor?) from the UK who's real active in the Russian-language online guitar community??

PS before anybody laughs, the place I'm thinking about - the guitar community on it, not the wholesocial network - has like 175 000 subscribers, so it's not THAT unlikely
