Re: Charvel 650xl

Actually, an OFR is a direct replacement for the Schaller. The only thing is that the rear locking screws will hang over the route a little making extreme pullups impossible. Those guitars are as bad as they come, though. I've had mine for 14 years and I won't get rid of it for anything.

this small spot between my fingers is missing the clear coat... I bought it from a professional musician in Branson MO.... so it has seen so use
as you can see, the coloration is not messed up because I cant get it to show up in any picture.

this shows the little chip on the headstock

this shows the aging of the "white" now its a antique white (that makes it worth more right  )

and the trem could use some TLC, but it works flawlessly... just needs some cleaning and stuff
There is NOTHING wrong with the guitar, but I dont play it...

Not really, an OFR get´s mounted 1/16" further away from the bridge, and has a 1/16"shorter baseplate than a schaller to compensate..... if you use either bridge on a guitar designed for the other, you´ve effectively repositioned the bridge by 1/8", which is quite a bit...

In other words: if you mount a Schaller on an OFR guitar, you may be forced to downtune to get her to intonate. Conversely, a Floyd on a Schaller guitar may be forced to uptune....

GL on the sale....
