Man, you were totally right... those pickups are badass! I A/B'd it with a Custom in an Ibanez (soon to be gone), and there's like a 1% difference... nothing even worth firing up the soldering iron for.

BTW (erased my PMs earlier, sorry) the "wah "effect of the middle knob is exactly what the mid boost does, it cuts or boosts the mids

Congrats!! I have wanted one of these (or the model 4) since they came out. In the same color too! Im always losing them on ebay.. : ( But you got the best of all cuz its still nearly new!

There are some nice model 4 on the US ebay right now, and always a few model 6s. Go have a look, yours may be there!

Ehm, sorry, I wasn´t quite awake... The JE-1200 is a 6db BOOST only, not a cut...although many have the impression that the tone is a bit "scooped" when the boost is turned down....

i know that for a long, long, long, long, long, LONG time, i wont be buying anything else but jacksons/charvels .. they're just too good. i LOVE my fusion. compared to every other guitar i played in the stores here it smokes em all

I know what you're saying... I'm selling all the trade-able guitars to pay for this one, and after playing it for a few days, I don't regret it in the least.

Smoking guitars...almost bought one of these back then, for some fusion stuff, but the band sadly selfdestructed, fat throathy sound, and a marvelous neck, congrats, and Zerb that guitar is just sharp looking!

You're not gonna believe this, but it's a J-50B! Didn't you say the 50 sounded like a '59? Maybe that (coupled with the mid-boost, heating it up a bit) explains why it sounds similair to a Custom? Whatever the case, it's a killer pickup!

Well, since we're posting pics of 6's, here's my 650xl. Notice the Distortion/Cool Rails/Hot Rails. That's what makes this beast my number 1.

I own one too, bought it new, its a metallic pink ( I know, but it was the 80s :smack: ). If you think youre stupid because you think you play faster on it, then that makes two of us... I havent been satisfied with any other Korean or Japanese makes (Ibanez etc) since. I have had some electronics problems with mine, but dont want to change anything on it. I have grown to hate the fine tuners on the bridge, who thought you would need to build callouses on your right hand in order to tune your axe!!! Best of luck with it, enjoy!!
